Oracle Hyperion Planning is a centralized, Microsoft Excel- and Web-based planning, budgeting, and forecasting solution that integrates financial and operational planning processes. The Oracle Hyperion Planning 11.1.2. Implementation Boot Camp examines the fundamental concepts, techniques, and architecture of Oracle’s Hyperion Planning application. Join this training to learn how you can easily create, manage, and integrate planning processes for faster deployment and lower cost of ownership.
The boot camp objectives:
- Overview of Oracle EPM System, Essbase and Hyperion Planning - architecture, future direction, components and common terminology
- Understanding of what you need to know to implement and manage Hyperion Planning applications
- Focus on hands-on Lab Exercises and Implementation Case Study to reinforce concepts and understanding
- Deep dive discussions into the inner workings of Essbase and Hyperion Planning
- Collaboration and sharing of Best Practices.
This boot camp is intended for prospective users and implementers of the Oracle Hyperion Planning or implementers that are currently familiar with the basics of Hyperion Planning and looking to strengthen their base of knowledge in the product.
To ensure a valuable learning experience, participation in this boot camp requires that participants have foundational product knowledge of Oracle Hyperion Planning. At a minimum, participants with equivalent skills and background should review the Oracle Hyperion Planning Implementation Specialist guided learning path to ensure they possess the background necessary to benefit from participation in the boot camp.
The Oracle Hyperion Planning Implementation Boot Camp shows developers and consultants how to build out dimensions using Classic Planning and Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA).
It covers the mechanics and strategies for automating the build process such as interface tables and reviews data loads using Load Rules to load the Planning
database.
The course focuses on tasks that end-users must perform during the planning cycle. It walks students through creating and modifying forms, working with forms to enter data, adding annotations, and other form features such as running business rules and managing task lists.
It covers how to use the forms in the Smart View client and concludes the end-user perspective by going through Workflow Management and the process of submittinga plan for review.

Students should come to the trainig with notebooks, which meet the following hardware requirements and have the following required software installed prior to class:

Software
- Minimum MS Internet Explorer 6.0 w/Active X enabled / can use up to IE8
- MS Remote Desktop Connection software
Note: This is software is installed by default with XP and Vista installations. If the selection of this option was overridden at OS install time or if this feature
was removed post OS installation, it must be added from Control Panel which may require the original OS install CD/DVD. In XP by default, Remote
Desktop Connection can be accessed from the Start menu as follows:
